Swimming – A sport for life

There aren’t many sports that can claim to save lives, but that’s exactly what swimming does. Whether swimming for survival or swimming for sport, the experts agree that every child in Australia should know how to swim. But that’s not happening. Royal Life Saving Australia estimates that one in five children leave primary school without the ability to swim the length of an Olympic sized pool (50 metres).
